For a full length tutorial, keep scrolling. For a simple straight-to-the-point answer: when creating you’re IG story ad, choose “carousel” as the option instead of “single video.” Then upload three consecutive videos into the carousel.
Ever watch an Insta story where the person gets cut off, and you miss the last few words they were trying to say? Yeah, don’t be that person.
15 seconds is generally more than enough time to hook your audience + send them to your website or landing page. But if you have really important message to share, or really engaging content, there is a second option!
Most people don’t know that you can actually create 45 second IG story ads, instead of the traditional 15 second ads. And it’s actually really easy to do.
X When setting up the ad, in the “ad set” level choose “Edit Placements”
X Uncheck all of them except IG stories
X Then in the “ad” level choose “Carousel”
X Upload three consecutive videos
X Wha-laa. You did it.
Honestly, I would recommend trying to keep your ad less than 15 seconds, if you can. The point of an ad is to get the viewer to “swipe up” as quickly as possible to get whatever it is you’re offering. So don’t keep them in IG forever with a long a** ad.
If you are going to use a 45 second ad, I would suggest keeping it targeted to your warm audience, or people who already know you, as they are more likely going to stick around for the whole ad.
