Chemical peel, microdermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and botox are some of the most popular (and expensive) facial treatments found in spas and skincare clinics.
I’ve actually tried microdermabrasion, it was honestly kind of painful and one of those treatments where I needed to do about 3 more to see results – usually a tactic for these companies to make more money when you don’t see the desired results.
What I’ve learned is that you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on harsh and toxic treatments that irritate the skin and only have you keep coming back for more. By using highly potent botanical oils, you can make your own natural and effective facial treatments at home!
Here are a few of my favorites:
Jojoba & Geranium Facial Oil Cleanser
Make your own healing oil cleanser at home by grabbing a 1 oz (30ml) dropper bottle and adding the following essential oils:
+ 30 drops Geranium
+ 20 drops Frankincense
+ 20 drops Lavender
+ 15 drops Copaiba (or tea tree)
+ 15 drops Carrot Seed (or lemon)
+ Jojoba Oil
To oil cleanse, simply put about a teaspoon of the above cleanser into a damp washcloth and gently rub in smooth circular motions over the face. Then rinse with cold water.
Overnight Probiotic Spot Treatment
Mix this mini-spot treatment in the palm of clean hands and dab mixture onto spots, blemishes, and pimples and leave on overnight.
+ 1 probiotic capsule (powder)
+ 1 drop Frankincense Essential Oil
+ 1 drop Lavender Essential Oil
Brightening Chocolate Face Mask
Mix all of the ingredients together and leave on the face for 15 minutes. Wash with warm water and a clean washcloth.
+ 1 tablespoon raw honey
+ 3 tbsp melted dark chocolate (or high quality cocoa powder)
+ 1 tsp oats
+ 3 drops Frankincense Oil
+ 1 drop Lemon Oil
